Frequently Asked Questions
- How long will my induction
heating line be?
- Can I heat different size
billets with my induction heater?
- Is induction heating effective on nonferrous
material?
- Can a feeder system orient my parts?
- How long will my induction heating
line be?
The length of an induction heating system depends on the amount of material
you would like to process per hour. Typically the coil length of an
induction heating line is approximately 2 feet for every 1000 pounds
of material heated per hour.
- Can I heat different size billets
with my induction heater?
Induction heating coils are designed to be used with certain size billets.
However making CEFI application experts aware of the range of billets
you intend to run allows the coils to be designed to accommodate your
range of billets.
- Is induction heating effective on
nonferrous material?
Induction heating can be used on either ferrous or nonferrous materials.
- Can a feeder system orient my parts?
CEFI manufactures feeder systems that allow parts to be oriented before
entering the induction heater. In order to achieve the desired orientation
the length of the part must be at least 1.3 times the diameter.
